Gladwyne, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/13/2018 -- Gladwyne Montessori's annual Giving Day will take place on Thursday, Nov. 15. This year, their goal is to raise 200 gifts by midnight.

This virtual fundraiser has an incredible impact on Gladwyne Montessori. Every gift making a difference for students and teachers.

Giving Day is an opportunity for the entire Gladwyne Montessori community — teachers, staff, Trustees, parents, grandparents, alumni, and alumni families — to join together and show their support for this one-of-a-kind school. This Montessori school in Wayne, PA, hosted its first Giving Day last year, and their team was honored to receive 187 gifts and $57,685.

There are so many reasons why members of the Gladwyne Montessori community donate. Parents Amy and Nafis Smith explain, "We give because a Montessori education broadens learning in ways we never knew possible. Using a layering approach to instruction, teachers take the familiar to expand knowledge and skill."

According to parents Noelle and Joshua Burg, "We give because Gladwyne Montessori has become not only our children's school, but also a centerpiece of our family, both as a social home and an educational institution."

When students pursue a Montessori education at this Wayne, PA, school, they learn so much more than their letters and numbers. Gladwyne Montessori's values — individuality, responsibility, flexibility, curiosity, connection, acceptance, and joy — are part of the curriculum.
