Study Group, a world leader in education and training for international students, has acquired purpose-built premises for Bellerbys College Oxford. The multi-million pound study centre, located next to the River Thames, on Mill Street, is due to open in September, and will give international students from all over the world opportunity to study GCSEs, A Levels and university foundation courses in the world-famous university city.
The peaceful riverside installation will include 26 classrooms, three fully-equipped science laboratories and three state-of-the-art IT rooms (featuring the latest interactive whiteboard technology and high speed intra-classroom networks). The centre will also include a library and a glass-walled art studio overlooking the Thames.
Julia Southby, Principal at Bellerbys College Oxford says: "This is a great facility in a hugely popular city synonymous with world-class education. The centre will increase our overall capacity to 550 students, all of whom will benefit from the latest education technology, small class sizes and 24hr support from Bellerbys staff.
"Bellerbys College is renowned for the excellence of its outcomes: last year a quarter of Bellerbys students graduated to the top 10 British universities; 80% of A Levels were graded A or B; and 76% of successful Foundation students graduated to the top 50 UK universities. Ofsted recently rated our existing Bellerbys Oxford offering as 'outstanding', and it is this ethos that forms the foundation of the new centre. There are also plans for extra accommodation to complement the three current student residencies: 58 single rooms with en-suite facilities will be completed early next year. However, we find a lot of the students are so keen to be fully immersed in the English language and culture, they chose to live with host families throughout the city instead."
Other facilities include a large student resource centre, a quiet room, cafeteria and common room, lecture hall and medical bay. Free wireless internet access will be available throughout the building and there will be counsellors on hand to offer support to all the students at the college.

The Study Centre has excellent transport links and is a five minute walk from Oxford's mainline station (which offers a 60 minute train link to central London) and a ten minute walk from Oxford city centre, which offers access to an extensive public transport network.
